Gautier Lee is a black queer screenwriter and director. She is one of the founders of Macumba Lab, a collective of black audiovisual professionals from Rio Grande do Sul. She was a 2019 winner of the Cabiria Award, and later in 2020 was a finalist for the Sir Peter Ustinov Scriptwriting Award, a prize given by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He directed the short film “Desvirtude” which, in its debut, won 5 awards at the Gramado Film Festival, including Best Director and Best Short. He has also written series for Amazon, Netflix, Globoplay and Comedy Central. She is currently developing her second feature film script and is the creator and general director of the Fade to Black Festival.
